In my ceramic practice, I have also worked with sculptural faces and masks. In 2004, I explored the same theme through glass cubes containing faces, created using sand casting. When returning to the motif in ceramics, I developed a new mould specifically for this work. This time, I used a plaster mould and cast the faces in clay. The ceramic faces were finished with a variety of glazes, allowing each piece to develop its own surface and character through the firing process.
