Service Design / Digital Development / March - October 2023At Design Forum Finland, I worked on digital service development, website project, and circular design initiatives. I contributed to the redesign of the organization’s website as part of Design Forum Finland’s internal project team in collaboration with the agency Redandblue, contributing from a UX and implementation perspective.
Beyond the website project, I participated in circular design development programs, expert evaluation processes, educational content planning, and digital learning concepts. My role combined service design thinking, practical WordPress knowledge, stakeholder collaboration, and user-centered development.
Introduction
There was a need to redesign the website to make it more approachable, visually updated, and easier to navigate for users. As a new member of the team, I was able to bring fresh perspectives into the project together with my UX/UI design background.
I worked as part of Design Forum Finland’s internal project team in collaboration with the agency Redandblue during the redesign process. The project also became my first hands-on experience with WordPress, giving me practical understanding of how digital services are built and maintained.
Responsibilities
Collected and organized content and data from the previous website
Reviewed and commented on Figma wireframes during the redesign process
Contributed ideas and UX input for the new website
Updated and maintained the Data Bank and Events sections in WordPress
Collaborated with the internal team and external agency throughout the project
404 Page idea
During the redesign process, I identified that the 404 page was missing from the planned website structure. I raised the issue to the team and contributed ideas to improve the user journey and prevent dead-end experiences caused by broken links.
Design Forum Finland – Circular Design Video Guides
As part of Design Forum Finland’s circular design initiatives, I participated in the development of educational video content related to sustainable design and business transformation.
My role included:
reviewing storytelling and narrative clarity
giving UX-oriented feedback on the learning experience
suggesting improvements for structure and communication
supporting the overall development of the educational content

Introduction
During the website redesign project at Design Forum Finland, I identified a need for clear internal documentation for managing the website. Since the organization is relatively small and multiple team members were responsible for updating the site, there was a need for simple and accessible instructions for daily content management.
The goal of the guidebook was to support onboarding and make working with WordPress easier for both current and future employees.
Responsibilities
Created a practical PDF guidebook for website content management
Documented workflows for creating pages, blog posts, and other website content
Collected and organized visual reference material and screenshots
Structured the guidebook to support onboarding and everyday use
Simplified technical instructions into clear and approachable guidance
